Seyi & Ronke -US Tour--Texas

 Texas was definitely difficult destination. As we arrived in Amarillo, Texas we pretty much had ran out of provision to proceed in our journey to Washington DC. As Ronke and I waited on direction from the Holy Spirit we prayed.When we left Long Beach, California We knew that God was going to provide for us. But as we arrived in Texas, all the churches and individuals that had promised to support our ministry relocation trip had dryed up.Nothing was coming forth. As we anxiously waited our hearts started to fail.

In the face of this uncertainty God spoke to our hearts and told us that he was Jehovah Jireh. The story of Abraham and Isaac (Genesis 22:1-12) really resonated with us. We drew strength from the provision of the Lord in Abraham's story. Abraham was asked to sacrifice his son and he obeyed. On the verge of sacrificing Isaac, the lord provided a ram in the brush. Like Abraham we knew that God was also asking us to sacrifice our comfort and security. God asked us to leave California and sacrifice everything we have ever known to journey to Washington DC(Alexandria, Virginia). So, we could only trust that the God of Abraham will provide for us and he did.

As you well know they say everything in Texas is Big. I am assured that this statement also rings true for God-everything about God is Big. So, there is nothing too big for him that he can’t solve.  Well, our big God came through.One of our partnering churches called us and confirm that they were going to support part of our moving cost. Thank God for his tender mercies. The problem in Texas seemed as “Big” as state of Texas, but our “Big” God came through in a “Big” Way.
