Seyi and Ronke: US Tour—Arizona

Early Tuesday morning around 1:30am we arrived at Flagstaff Arizona. To be honest with you, I was really surprised by the topography. When I think about Arizona,I always envision flat desert land with cactus all over the landscape. Well, Flagstaff was nothing like that but it was very green and lush like Northern California or Oregon.Flagstaff was a very touristyplease like Lake Tahoe. As Ronke and I spent time with the lord in the morning and ponder the surprise of Flagstaff , I was reminded of the passage in

Isaiah 55:8-9 which says:

     8 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts,

       neither are your ways my ways,"

       declares the LORD.  

    9 "As the heavens are higher than the earth,

       so are my ways higher than your ways

       and my thoughts than your thoughts.

 Just as we were surprise by Flagstaff’s landscape, that is how God supersedes our expectation, perception and reality many times.  As, we start our journey to Washington DC, we didn’t know what to expect but we know his ways are higher than our ways. In the face of uncertainty we know that the lord us forward and his ways and thoughts is going to bring us to  an expected end.  So, as we go forward we might feel that we know everything that is ahead of us, but in actuality we don’t know what he has prepared us on this trip.  But we know that it will glorify Him
