Aerial Support

You are probably wondering why I entitled this BLOG Aerial Support. Aerial support is a metaphor for prayer. I know that when I mention the word prayer the first picture that is formed in your minds is that of a person kneeling by their bed with their eyes towards heaven. But that is not the picture that I want you to form in your mind. I want you think about Aerial support, which points to a military strategy. During war time, before infantry units(foot soldiers) are sent to invade a nation , they first invade or penetrate through the air(using fighter planes to fire on the enemies communication lines, supply lines and strategic military fortresses OR locations). By doing this, its a  lot easier to successfully invade and navigate the enemies territory on ground.

     The same thing happens in the  supernatural realm(unseen world). Ephesians 6:12 tells us that we our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places. Our fight which is against the enemy(Satan) is not a physical one but supernatural. So, we have to fight through prayer(I don't mean a casual approach to prayer but a desperate approach). When we pray fervently for "closed nations", we will see the devil's hold over this spiritually dark areas begin to crumble. For instance all the missions trip my wife and I have lead we find it extremely easy to share our faith / minister to the unsaved people when there is  consistent and passionate prayer going  forth before and during the trip-1 Thess. 5:16-17.  God wants us pray so that we can learn to trust him for the transformation of our lives and the world around us. God wants to partner with us ; he wants to be the Aerial support to our ground attack. So, I challenge you all to become more fervent in prayer(Find a time and a place where you consistently meet with God.) During your prayer time, don't feel a false need to rush through your laundry list, let the holy spirit pray through you-(He will lead you to specfic prayer points). This is why we invite you to join our prayer team. Your prayers has the power to change many nations. Again, your prayers can release many people groups to worship the true and living God.
